Overview
IEC 60601-1 sets the general safety requirements for medical electrical equipment, including protection of patients and operators against access to hazardous parts and the mechanical strength of enclosures. The SMT-601K provides the probes it specifies: the standard test finger (Figure 6), the test hook (Figure 7) and test pin (Figure 8), an unjointed test finger, a 4mm × 100mm test pin and a 500g ball for impact testing.
