ACL means the Australian Consumer Law contained in Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth).
Finch means Yi-Lun Elaine Chia trading as Finch Electronic Solutions (ABN 47 182 085 471).
Customer means any person or entity purchasing Goods from Finch.
Goods means products, electronic components, materials, or equipment supplied by Finch.
2. Application
This Shipping Policy applies to the delivery of Goods supplied by Finch.
This Shipping Policy must be read together with the Finch Electronic Solutions Terms and Conditions, available at:
3. Order Processing
Orders are processed once full payment has been received unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Processing and dispatch timelines may vary depending on supplier lead times, component availability, manufacturing schedules, and logistics arrangements.
Lead times provided in quotations are estimates only.
4. Shipping Method
Finch supplies Goods sourced from manufacturers and electronic component suppliers.
To minimise handling and delivery time, Goods may be shipped directly from suppliers or manufacturers to the Customer.
Shipping may therefore be arranged by:
• Finch
• the manufacturer
• third‑party suppliers
• third‑party logistics providers
Shipping methods will depend on supplier logistics arrangements and delivery destination.
5. Shipping Costs
Shipping costs are not included in product pricing unless explicitly stated.
Shipping costs may be included in the quoted price or invoiced separately prior to dispatch.
Where suppliers arrange shipping directly, freight costs may be determined by the supplier’s logistics provider.
6. Dispatch and Delivery Timeframes
Dispatch timelines depend on factors including supplier inventory availability, component lead times, manufacturing schedules, and courier or freight availability.
Delivery timeframes are estimates only and are not guaranteed.
7. Partial Shipments
Orders containing multiple items may be shipped in multiple deliveries depending on supplier availability or logistics arrangements.
Where practical, Customers will be notified if orders are dispatched in separate shipments.
8. Risk of Loss or Damage
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, risk in the Goods passes to the Customer upon delivery to the Customer or the Customer’s nominated carrier.
Finch will assist Customers in lodging claims with freight providers where appropriate. Liability remains subject to the freight provider’s carriage terms.
9. Shipping Damage or Missing Goods
Customers must inspect Goods upon delivery.
Claims for damaged, missing, or incorrect Goods must be made within seven (7) days of delivery.
Customers must provide photographs of the damage, shipment or tracking references, and packaging details where available.
Failure to notify Finch within this period may affect the ability to lodge freight claims.
10. Proof of Delivery
Where a courier or freight provider records a shipment as delivered, this will be treated as proof of delivery unless evidence indicates otherwise.
Finch is not responsible for loss occurring after confirmed delivery by the courier, including theft or loss from the delivery location.
11. Delivery Address Accuracy
Customers are responsible for providing accurate and complete delivery information.
Finch is not responsible for delays or additional costs caused by incorrect delivery details provided by the Customer.
Additional freight costs resulting from incorrect addresses may be charged to the Customer.
12. Customer Collection
Finch operates using direct supplier and logistics shipping arrangements.
Customer collection or pickup of Goods from Finch is not available.
13. International Shipping
For international deliveries, Customers are responsible for import duties, customs clearance fees, taxes, or regulatory charges.
These costs are not included in pricing unless explicitly stated.
14. Freight Insurance
Unless explicitly agreed in writing, shipments arranged by Finch, suppliers, or logistics providers may not include freight insurance.
Courier liability is typically limited under standard freight terms.
Customers requiring freight insurance must request this prior to dispatch, and any insurance costs will be charged to the Customer.
15. Supplier Packaging
Goods shipped directly from suppliers or manufacturers will be packaged according to the supplier’s standard packaging practices.
Finch is not responsible for packaging methods used by third‑party suppliers.
16. Supplier Errors or Product Variations
Where Goods are supplied directly from manufacturers or suppliers, Finch is not responsible for minor packaging variations or manufacturer revisions.
If a supplier ships an incorrect item, Finch will assist the Customer in coordinating resolution with the supplier where possible.
Replacement or return remains subject to the supplier’s return policies and warranty terms.
17. Refused Deliveries or Failed Delivery Attempts
If a shipment cannot be delivered due to circumstances within the Customer’s control, the Customer may be responsible for additional costs including return freight, re‑delivery charges, or courier storage fees.
18. Customer‑Nominated Freight Providers
Where the Customer requests shipment using their own courier or freight provider, responsibility transfers to the Customer once Goods are collected by that carrier.
Finch is not responsible for delays, damage, or loss occurring after collection by the Customer’s nominated carrier.
19. Force Majeure
Finch is not liable for delays or failure to deliver Goods caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control including supplier delays, transport disruptions, customs processing delays, natural disasters, pandemics, labour disputes, or government actions.
20. Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in this Shipping Policy excludes, restricts, or modifies any rights or remedies a Customer may have under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable legislation.
To the extent permitted by law, where Goods are supplied for business purposes Finch’s liability is limited to replacement of the Goods, repair of the Goods, payment of the cost of replacing the Goods, or payment of the cost of repairing the Goods.
