Rapid Hot/Cold Transition Testing to MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-883, and IEC 60068-2-14
Thermal shock testing exposes a product to a rapid transition between hot and cold temperature extremes, revealing defects in solder joints, encapsulation, and material interfaces that gradual temperature cycling can miss. Sonacme's thermal shock chambers use a two-zone (hot/cold) or three-zone design, transferring the test basket between chambers in seconds rather than ramping temperature within a single chamber.
Available in two-zone and three-zone configurations, in vertical, horizontal, and liquid-to-liquid formats. The three-zone design adds an intermediate zone specifically to meet ISO 26262 (road vehicle functional safety) and IEC 61508 test requirements for automotive and safety-critical electronic systems.
