Enquire About This Product
IEC 60598-1 requires luminaires to be checked for access to live parts and for the degree of protection their enclosures claim. The SMT-598K groups the probes it calls on: the jointed test finger (10N) and unjointed test finger (50N) for finger access, test probe 13 for small openings, IEC 61032 probes C and D for IP3X and IP4X enclosure ratings, and a 50mm steel sphere.
A lighting laboratory can therefore run the access and protection-degree checks from one kit, with each probe made to the IEC 61032 dimensions.
