The SHINHO S-22 is the first fully automatic multi-core fiber fusion splicer in China, purpose-built for multi-core fiber (MCF) splicing. Multi-core fiber is used in space-division multiplexed (SDM) telecommunications systems and high-capacity data centre interconnects.
The S-22 handles the complex alignment challenge of MCF splicing, requiring not only X/Y/Z positional alignment but also rotational alignment to match each core pair precisely across the splice.
