Overview
The MEWOI4000+ and 4000A+ are straightforward stake-type earth testers for checking individual earth electrodes. They use the precise 3-wire fall-of-potential method, or a quick 2-wire method where a known low-resistance earth is available, with a 128Hz, 20mA test signal.
Two features improve accuracy on low readings: the meter displays the resistance of the auxiliary stakes during the test, so a poorly driven stake is noticed before it skews the result, and lead resistance calibration removes errors from extended or poorly seated test leads. Both meters also measure earth voltage up to 200V AC.
The MEWOI4000+ adds an earth current function (0–100A AC) using a current clamp; the MEWOI4000A+ measures earth resistance and earth voltage only.
