Overview
Most clamp-on earth testers can only use the clamp method, which needs a parallel earth path and cannot measure a single isolated electrode or soil resistivity. The MEWOI3300 combines the clamp with a full set of stake-based methods in one instrument, so the same meter can test multi-earthed systems by clamp, a single electrode by the 3-wire fall-of-potential method, soil resistivity by the 4-wire Wenner method, and one electrode within a parallel system by the selective method without disconnecting it.
The meter uses FFT processing and automatic frequency selection (128/111/105/94Hz) to reject interference, has a large 65×32mm jaw for big down-conductors, and also measures earth leakage current and earth voltage. Results are stored with date and time (500 sets) and can be read on an Android phone over Bluetooth. A 2.5-inch colour LCD and rechargeable lithium battery complete the instrument.
The MEWOI3300B extends earth resistance to 200kΩ and earth current to 45A for high-resistivity sites and larger leakage currents.
