MEWOI3000C+ explosion-proof clamp earth resistance tester

Overview

Earthing at fuel terminals, refineries, gas plants and mines has to be checked where a standard instrument cannot be taken. The MEWOI3000C+ is an intrinsically safe version of MEWOI's clamp-on earth tester, certified to GB 3836 with the marking Ex ia IIB T3 Ga (certificate CE18.2380), so it can be used in the corresponding explosive gas atmospheres.

Like other clamp-on testers it measures earth and loop resistance by clamping around the earth conductor, with no auxiliary stakes and no need to disconnect the electrode from a multi-earthed system. Readings from 0.010Ω to 1200Ω are taken in 0.5 seconds; an audible and visual alarm flags values above a set threshold (1–199Ω), and a noise indicator warns when interference may affect the result. It runs for around 30 hours on four AA alkaline cells and stores 99 readings.
