Intrinsically safe handheld laser methane detectors that find gas leaks from a distance: tunable laser at 1650nm, 0.1s response, detection range up to 15m, 30m or 100m.

A laser methane detector measures methane along the path of an invisible near-infrared laser beam, reflected back from a wall, pipe or the ground. That lets a technician scan pipelines, regulators, roof spaces and plant from a safe distance, including areas out of reach such as overhead pipework or across a fence, instead of walking a sniffer probe along every joint.
Detection is specific to methane at 1650nm, so the instrument is not confused by other gases or humidity, and it responds in 0.1 seconds without periodic calibration. A visible red aiming laser shows where the measurement beam is pointing. The units are intrinsically safe and explosion-proof in design.
Three models differ by reach: the LMRD-30 covers 0.5–15m, the LROD01-30 up to 30m and the LROD01-100 from 0.5 to 100m.
