Wrist, arm and helmet-mounted voltage proximity alarms that warn line workers with sound and light when they approach live conductors, in 0.4–500kV and 40V–1kV versions. IP54.
Enquire About This Product
A proximity alarm is personal protective equipment for people working near live overhead lines, substations and switchgear. It senses the electric field around energised conductors without contact and sounds a buzzer and flashes an LED when the wearer comes too close, giving a warning before a dangerous approach distance is reached.
MEWOI makes the same detector in three wearing styles: the MEWOI1860 on the wrist, the MEWOI1870 on the arm and the MEWOI1880 on a safety helmet. Each comes in a high-voltage version (0.4kV to 500kV) for transmission and distribution work and a C version (40V to 1kV) for low-voltage work. They trigger automatically, run on coin cells for about 12 months on standby, and are rated IP54.
