The MEWOI-F2020 (also supplied as the F30) is a one-hand thermal imaging camera built for fire-fighting and rescue work, where crews need to see through smoke, locate people and find hidden fire inside walls and ceilings. It is sealed to IP67 and rated to operate in ambient temperatures up to 270°C for five minutes, far beyond what a general-purpose inspection camera will tolerate.
The standard camera uses a 384×288 uncooled focal-plane array (17µm, 8–14µm) behind a wide 48°×36° lens, shown on a 4.3-inch 800×480 screen at 30Hz. A high-end option increases resolution to 640×480 with a 5.5-inch display. Temperature measurement runs from -20 to +650°C as standard, with an optional extension to 2000°C, and a built-in blackbody reference recalibrates the camera automatically so readings stay stable as conditions inside a fire change.
Images and video are saved to a 32GB card (more than 4,000 radiometric images), with a high-temperature alarm and PC analysis software. Three replaceable lithium-ion batteries are supplied, each lasting more than four hours, for over 12 hours of continuous use.
