The RF Technology Reverberation Chamber is a highly reflective shielded enclosure used to generate a statistically uniform and isotropic electromagnetic field for radiated immunity testing, total radiated power (TRP) measurements, and materials shielding effectiveness testing. Unlike an anechoic chamber, the reverberation chamber uses metallic reflective surfaces and rotating mode-stirrers to create a complex, randomised field environment that provides omnidirectional illumination of the equipment under test.
Available in multiple configurations according to the Lower Usable Frequency (LUF), ranging from 80MHz to 1GHz and above, with chamber dimensions scaled accordingly. Standard reference models include the RC80 (LUF 80MHz, shield body 12.7m×10.8m×6.4m, test area 7.0m×7.0m×4.5m) and the RC200 (LUF 200MHz, shield body 5.2m×4.0m×3.0m, test area 2.5m×1.8m×2.3m). Custom LUF and dimensions are available.
The chamber meets IEC61000-4-21, MIL-STD-461, RTCA/DO-160, and EUROCAE/ED-14 standards. Supplied and installed in Australia by Finch Electronic Solutions as a turnkey project.
