Overview
The ActionPower CORTEX DC Series (Unidirectional) is a high-performance programmable DC power supply delivering 0V to 2000Vdc at power levels from 15kW to 30kW per 3U module, scalable up to 3MW via parallel connection. Built on a unique topology, it achieves an ultra-fast response time of less than 600μs and voltage/current accuracy of 0.02% F.S. — making it one of the highest-performing unidirectional DC sources available in its class.
The series supports zero-volt standby output for safe DUT connection and features auto-ranging, which automatically adjusts the voltage and current envelope to maintain rated power across a wide operating range — allowing a single supply to cover high-voltage/low-current and low-voltage/high-current test conditions without reconfiguration.
Modular scalability is achieved through the DMPS (Digital Matrix Parallel System), connecting up to 100 units of 30kW modules via high-speed fibre optic communication. Module redundancy is built in: if any slave module faults, the system automatically bypasses it and continues operating to minimise downtime. Cabinet configurations of 26U/42U with 19-inch rack are available.
The front panel provides an 18-inch FHD touch screen for simultaneous display of all measurement and setting data. Built-in PV simulation software supports static curves, curve programming, static MPPT, dynamic MPPT, weather simulation and photovoltaic panel shading. Standard interfaces include Type-B USB, LAN, CAN and RS485; optional GPIB is available.
