RFlight ultra-wideband low-noise amplifier modules, 0.7–18GHz and 18–40GHz, with flat gain and a 9–30V supply, for receive chains ahead of a receiver or spectrum analyser.

A low-noise amplifier (LNA) boosts a weak signal while adding as little noise as possible. Placed at the front of a receive chain, ahead of a receiver, spectrum analyser or EMI receiver, it sets the sensitivity of the whole system, so its noise figure matters more than any later stage.
RFlight's NTMLNA modules are compact, all-solid-state LNAs with flat gain over very wide bands, a wide 9–30V supply range and built-in protection. The NTMLNA-07180-15dB covers 0.7–18GHz with ≤2.7dB noise figure and ≥16dB gain. The NTMLNA-180400-15dB covers 18–40GHz with ≤4.5dB noise figure and ≥14dB gain. Both share the same 48 × 53mm package.
Choose the module whose band covers your measurement, then check that its P-1dB output (≥17.5dBm or ≥14.5dBm) stays well above the strongest signal you expect, so the LNA does not compress and distort the measurement.
