Overview
Lighting products and similar equipment must be tested for the magnetic-field emissions they radiate between 9kHz and 30MHz. At these frequencies the test uses a triple loop antenna, also called a Van Veen loop: three large orthogonal loops surround the equipment under test, so the magnetic field is picked up on all three axes without moving the product.
LISUN's VVLA-30M is built for this test. The X, Y and Z loops can be switched freely, so full-angle measurements need no repositioning, which removes displacement errors. It assembles without screws, comes with a height-adjustable, expandable test platform (up to 50kg), and is factory-calibrated with a built-in calibration antenna. Its 50Ω N-type output connects to LISUN EMI-9K series EMI receivers or other receivers of the same specification. LISUN recommends using it in an RF shielded room or a 3m semi-anechoic chamber.
How to choose
The VVLA-30M has 2m loops for typical luminaires and lighting equipment. The VVLA-30MA has 3m loops for larger products. For weak signals, LISUN offers the optional LS-LNA09K1000 preamplifier (9kHz–1GHz, gain above 30dB, 2.5dB noise figure).
